Justice For Jack

Post by dianewilsher on Wed Oct 06, 2010 6:02 pm

There is a new facebook group set up and the following description describes what happened concerning a very much loved dog.

This group has been created to get as much attention as possible for what happened to this poor little dog, in the hope that someone may recognise him and his murderers made to face the severest of charges.

'This is one of the saddest tales Whitehall has ever had to tell! We see many animals suffering but In the history of the rescue we have never seen such cruelty before!

On Fri 17th September between the hours of 12am and 5am, someone left this poor dog outside the gates of Whitehall wrapped in an orange sheet. They made no attempt to call or knock on the door to alert us to the fact he was there. Sadly Brian found him dead in the early hours of the morning. Had somebody alerted us, maybe we could have saved him. The unbelievable suffering this dog has had to endure has shocked all of us within the rescue. We have called him Jack, we thought he deserved a name at the least. Jack had been severely starved. His dew claws were so long they were growing round and into his pads. He has pressure sores on his side probably because he has been far too weak to move. We are appealing for any information on how Jack came to be left at the gate. If anyone knows anything please contact Brian on 07831421715 so we can bring Jack's abusers to justice.

There is also an online petition in circulation which is www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?csjfl&1

Thank you

Diane

OMG What a state that poor dog was in and how anyone can do this to an animal is just unbelieveable .

I have removed the facebook link though as i feel the pictures on there would be far to disturbing for some of the younger members of the forum

That's ok David as long as members are aware of the dog's predicament.
Can the petition stay on? I couldn't even look at the pictures without getting upset
as I have been upset these last 3 weeks due to the loss of my 22 year old cat
Sparky.

Aww Matt it was terrible so I especially asked for the link for the petition from the creator of the group. I had a lot of upset last year with a previous facebook group and yes if members want to pm me for the link I will be very happy to co-operate as they asked their members to link it up with other animal forums and I thought of this one.

Yes you are right Cozmo. All our pets deserve better than this poor unfortunate one did. I had a dog when I was a child and he was 15 when he had to be pts in 1977. Then after 10 years I had another dog, a black Labrador and now I have Megan and Sandy. Out of all the dogs I have had I can never do this to them. I can't understand why some people are so evil

Animals are far better than not nice humans.

I havent looked at the site, not sure I really want too. I just dont know how anyone can be cruel to any animal. I look at my greyhounds laying asleep and just love them to bits and it makes me wonder what makes a human hurt such creatures. Dogs amaze me in the fact that they may have been treated really badly at some stage in their life and are rescued but still go on to trust other humans. RIP Jack Crying or Very sad
