Cant edit posts

Post by classycavies on Sun Aug 29, 2010 10:09 am

Ive just put two posts on and wanted to go back on straight after as I noticed that I had made a spelling mistake in one and posted the wrong photo in the other but it comes up with a message saying I cant edit my posts any longer.

Has this been changed by forum management? and I wondered why?

Sorry Kelly, we have had to remove this option because we had a couple of incidences recently where upsetting things were posted - then deleted before mods got to see it causing no-end of trouble. Because of this, we decided as a team, that as we can't always be on line all the time, to remove the edit function for the time being

I mean things were written, then edited by the posted to alter the upsetting content....

I wondered about that as well...... as some of my posts had dodgy spellings and typing errors etc..... but it seems like a good idea and a safeguard to avoid trouble..... Very Happy

There were just one or two incidents, so it is better to put up with dodgy spellings Wink

There is, if I remember correctly, like a 1 minute time frame in which after posting you will still be able to edit (literally 60 seconds) so best to check straight after posting or use the preview option. Sorry peeps for those of you that did use it responsibly!
