Re: Huh?
Probably OK if the automatic ones have been done and you got the all clear. Try restarting the computer and seeing if that speeds it up!
Re: Huh?

Re: Huh?
Probably meant you had something lurking on your PC that shouldn't have been there and now it's been removed, so all good!
Re: Huh?
a defrag is like sorting and categorising all the crap you got on the pc, hehe.
Think of it this way.
You have a bookcasing almost filled with books. You start out with all the books being in alphabetical order. Then you take one out here and there, but you don't put it back where you took it.. you just shove it in somewhere that's roomie enough for it. As time goes by, you keep taking out books and shoving them back wherever they fit. But you take longer and longer to find the books you're looking for, cause you have to look through so many titles out of order before you find what you need.
Finally you get sick of it, and you pull out a great deal of them, and start to alphabetise them once again - and after that, you find what you're looking for in a heartbeat.
And then it all starts over again ;-)
But that's sorta like what happens on your computer. When you use data, it gets shoved in somewhere, and when you need it again, the computer takes longer and longer to find it, cause the data is spread all over the place. A defrag is tidying up the 'bookcase', so it's nice and easy to find stuff again.

Re: Huh?
Thanks Lina, i totally get that now.
Im not totally 'doh on pc's but not a whizxz either. It sisnt pick up anything in my scan etc and the defrag seemed to just clean it up in order, like you explained.
I have been having trouble with my windows defender though...it doesnt stay on all the time even though we set it to. Its like it turns off when you turn the laptop off.

Re: Huh?
What browsers do you both use? Now I know it's happened to both of you I know it's not your computer Roline. So need to look into it.
Do you both use opera?
