Pics not displaying

Numerous times lately I have clicked on posts containing photos (apparently) but they never appear. I don't even get a box with a red cross in it (as I would if I were trying to view pics from work) just .... nothing....

I have also found lately that the 'serving' instant upload thingie doesn't always work - I wonder if this is related? I have gone back to Photobucket - far more time consuming, but at least it works..

Next time I don't get photos displaying, I will try and remember to ask if they were posted using the Serving instant uploader

The main problem is that people are still using webs (where they host their free sites) to host their pics, many people are still having trouble viewing webs sites (myself included) and if you can't view the site you won't be able to view the pics...

I find photobucket is the best and most reliable pic host, I don't find it's any longer either as I just have it open in a seperate window/tab.

basically most sites don't like hotlinking.. and using your website to host the pics shown on forum is still hotlinking.
Maybe... just maybe.. that has something to do with it.

That's why I always use photobucket.
I don't want to use up my own bandwidth with hotlinking to pics, hehe.
