How to post a picture in a post

Sign up a free account at www.photobucket.com or go to www.tinypic.com. Go to your "album" and then click the upload button to upload your picture(s) to photobucket. Wait for the picture to upload, then once done click "save and return to album" (if applicable, photobucket tends to change regularly). You will now see the picture you have just uploaded on your photobucket album page. Somewhere you should see a list of options to share the image. One will look something like below:

Copy and paste all of that text on here in your post.
Once the post is submitted the picture will appear.

If you have the pics on your own website and want to post them here:
If you have a website and have pics on there that you also want to post on this forum, you can right click ON the pic on your website. On the menu that appears, click "properties". You will see something that says "location" or "URL" and next to that an address that looks something like "http://website.piczo/pic.jpg" (for example). Copy that text onto here in your post. Before and after the text, put the "image tags". So your post will now look like this:

Note that the starting and ending image tags are different. Also note that there are NO gaps anywhere.

Once your post is submitted, the picture will appear! Note: the link part of the text should always end in something like .jpg, .png, .gif etc. If there is anything after this, for example .jpgblahblah REMOVE the text afterwards, so it still ends in .jpg.

If you are still having problems posting pictures then please PM an admin or mod for help. It is very easy once you get the hang of it. All you need is the direct link to the image, and then put the image tags before and after it in the post. Once submitted the picture will appear.

Where members often get confused is that they don't understand that the picture must first be online before others can see it! This is why we use photobucket, tinypic, imageshack etc (all free image hosts, there are more, just do a google search! Although photobucket is best).

I have just discovered that if you switch WYSIWYG editing on (when making a post click the little A sign so it turns pink - the button furthest to the right in the post options) you can actually drag and drop any online (e.g. from your photobucket album) images into your post. So for those of you that can't be bothered to write out codes, there you go lol.

Some forums the attatchment allows you to up;oad straight from your computer. Is that not avaliable on this forum ?

It is - but if you use this feature, you'll have to make do with the picture showing as a small thumbnail, and other members will have to download it to see it full-size.
